For every shitty thing Ohio has to offer the world (I can say this because I grew up there); Old Man's Cave is certainly one of Ohio's redeeming places. Growing up; I went there often. It's outside of Logan, Ohio...in Hocking Hills. It's not exactly the kind of place you would just stop into-you've gotta have a day set aside for hiking. But this place is decorated with awesome water falls, all sorts of steep cliffs that no one should be allowed to walk along, and most of all...privacy. The trees literally form a canopy over this entire park-so it's usually pretty dark...but kind of magical at the same time. (Dark forests=magical. I have watched too many Harry Potter movies-it's official.) There are six different sections of the park-and I highly recommend them all:
Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle's Hollow, Cantwell Cliffs, and Rock House.
So if you ever find yourself wondering what to do in Ohio-go here. Just make sure you pack a lunch!
